Antología de la música presbiteriana de Alvin Schutmaat Evers, Eleazar Torreglosa y Pompeyo Mosquera

Abstract

Esta investigación está basada en recopilar documentos históricos que muestren a Maestros como Alvin Schutmaat Evers, Pompeyo Mosquera y Eleazar Torreglosa Peña, que marcaron diferencia en la historia de la música de la Iglesia Presbiteriana al renovar la música litúrgica con sus composiciones y arreglos musicales. En este trabajo se hizo un recorrido histórico, desde el inicio de la Iglesia Presbiteriana en Colombia, hasta llegar a Alvin Schutmaat Evers, quien fue el que inició la renovación musical, Eleazar Torreglosa Peña en segundo lugar, y casi al mismo tiempo Pompeyo Mosquera Mosquera. Sin embargo, el aporte musical de estos tres (3) Maestros cambió la mentalidad presbiteriana con la introducción de temas nuevos con ritmos colombianos, que enriquecieron la música litúrgica presbiteriana y reanimaron el sentido de espiritualidad en los creyentes. Este trabajo muestra parte de la labor de los tres, que es digno de ser apoyado y reconocido.

This research is based on collecting historical documents that show teachers how Alvin Schutmaat Evers, Pompeyo Mosquera and Eleazar Torreglosa Peña, marked difference in the history of the music of the Presbyterian Church to renew liturgical music with his compositions and musical arrangements. In this work a historical tour, was made from the beginning of the Presbyterian Church in Colombia, reaching Alvin Schutmaat Evers, who started the musical renewal, Eleazar Torreglosa Peña second, and almost at the same time Pompeyo Mosquera Mosquera. However, the musical contribution of these three (3) teachers changed the Presbyterian mentality with the introduction of new topics with Colombian rhythms, which enriched the Presbyterian liturgical music and resuscitated the sense of spirituality in the believers. This work shows part of the work of the three, which deserves to be supported and recognized.
